Charella comes from a dam line that has produced several 160 cm level horses, including Guizanne (by Guidam) and Tornado B (by Natal). Her dam, Cha Cha, is a granddaughter of the legendary Chin Chin, one of the most influential broodmare sires in modern show jumping breeding. Charella’s sire is Jilbert van’t Ruytershof (Numero Uno x Cartani), whose dam not only competed herself at 1.50 m level but is also a sister to such horses as Le Blue Diamond van’t Ruytershof and Herald van’t Ruytershof.
